GET DIRECTIONS →Bubble tea — boba, if that is what you grew up calling it — is a tea drink shaken with milk and poured over chewy tapioca pearls, drunk through a wide straw so the pearls come up with it. It started in Taiwan in the 1980s and the format has not really changed since, because it does not need to.
The pearls are the point. They are made from tapioca starch, cooked until they are soft with a slight bounce, and sweetened. The drink is as much a texture as a flavor.

Our bubble tea is the most-ordered drink on the menu and it comes in a 24 oz cup. The rest of the drink program sits alongside it: Thai milk tea brewed in-house from Thai tea leaf and topped with half and half, a green Thai milk tea made the same way, and Vietnamese iced coffee brewed dark and strong with condensed milk.
There is also a salted creme Vietnamese coffee, which is the traditional dark brew with a salted cream cap poured over the top — it changes the whole drink. Four fruit refreshers round out the list.

- What is boba made of?
- The pearls are tapioca starch, cooked until soft and chewy and sweetened. They sit at the bottom of the cup and come up through a wide straw.
- Is bubble tea the same thing as boba?
- Yes. They are two names for the same drink. "Bubble tea" is more common in some regions and "boba" in others — order either one and you will get the same cup.
- What size is your bubble tea?
- Our bubble tea is served in a 24 oz cup, as are the Thai milk tea and green Thai milk tea. Vietnamese iced coffee is 16 oz.
- Does bubble tea have caffeine?
- Bubble tea is made with tea, so it generally does contain caffeine — how much depends on the tea used. Our Vietnamese iced coffee is coffee and is stronger again. If caffeine matters to you, call (253) 267-1637 and ask about a specific drink rather than assuming.
